Painted dragon’s eye cast in glass. Set in Sterling silver.

Julia Gombert learned to blow glass at ISOMATA in Idyllwild, CA. Inspired by her experiences making silver jewelry, she decided to combine her talents and create cast-glass silver earrings, rings and necklaces. “I am fascinated by all things luminous; the relationship of opaque and transparent against metallic, the play of light in water. I am greatly inspired by Catalina Island at night, watching the backlight from the boats shine through the kelp forests.”
