From the Faubourg Marigny, the Quarter to Lee Circle, Chris has lived in rather peculiar New Orleans surroundings. After riding Katrina out and surviving, he painted her irreplaceable landscapes and architecture. He draws most of his inspiration from bold color, appreciable music, native folklore, antique mythology and the “laissez faire” way of life. Currently living in the Garden District, Chris explores the traditions of Expressionism and Post Impressionism through acrylic and oil pastels as his primary mediums.
